Our logo is a reflection of the
approach we take to organizational development and training.
Most organizations have an idea of their preferred
future. It may be indistinctly perceived, or it may be clearly
defined and even passionately sought. Organizational leaders realize that achieving a future that is an
improvement on the present requires change. They recognize that new skills are needed, new actions
required, and new behaviors
must be mastered. Since these elements are quickly identified and
outwardly evident, we call these skills, behaviors, actions, and techniques the
"above the line" elements of
development. They are the usual targets of training. Yet our experience
has convinced us that it is the "below the line" elements of
attitudes, values, and assumptions that hold organizations firmly where
they currently are instead of where they want to be. Without an honest
exploration of these elements, any skills or behavior training will fail to
produce sustained improvements. Our logo characterizes this concept of
"above and below the line" development.
The circle in our logo symbolizes our
commitment to working with whole systems. When a whole system becomes
engaged in the change process, the dynamic interaction between the people
in an organization releases extremely positive energy toward change. A key
feature of our approach is that it addresses both individuals and the
unity of the organization in which they operate. Additionally, all of our work, from
consulting and coaching to the delivery of leadership development
workshops, stems from our core belief that effective supervisors and
managers must address the relationship of values and attitudes to
behaviors and actions.
In summary, our logo reflects Management
Associates' dedication to real, sustained change in the workplace. Through
a greater harmony between values and behaviors, we enable
organizations, as a unified whole system, to grow into their preferred
future.
